Tucker Carlson told Candace Owens tonight that he feels there’s a disproportionate response by some commentators to the attack on 10/7 that led to many innocent Jews getting slaughtered by a Muslim terrorist organization.

After saying how horrible he thought the terrorist attack was on 10/7, he said:

However, there’s an emotional response that is disproportionate I think on the part of some commentators. I mean, our country is being invaded right now by millions of young men whose identities we don’t know, who probably don’t even like America and they’re not living here. Over 100k Americans die every year of fentanyl – I’ve known a couple. Those are real tragedies. I’ve never seen anything like the emotion from any commentator around those tragedies, as I’m watching about a foreign tragedy. I think that’s odd.

I’ll be honest. I think that’s a terrible comparison for one main reason. Most of the people who die from fentanyl poisoning are people who are consuming it themselves, just like George Floyd did in 2020. Are they tragedies? Absolutely and we must do more to stop fentanyl from coming over our borders and into our cities. It is a horrible problem that needs to end.

But what happened on 10/7 in Israel was innocent people getting absolutely slaughtered by terrorists in the most horrific ways possible. They didn’t do this to themselves. It was done to them by genocidal maniacs who want to wipe them off the face of the earth. It is soul crushing to see what happened to these people, which is why I have to look away at some of this. I just can’t take seeing the abhorrent level of evil that was done to these innocent people.

So yes, it’s absurd to make such a comparison and I can’t believe I’m hearing this from someone like Tucker Carlson.
