Senator Tuberville is laying down the law tonight, telling Fox Business that his GOP colleagues in the Senate should be voting to confirm Matt Gaetz for Attorney General because President-elect Trump deserves to get his picks.

Tuberville says he’s heard a couple of senators say they won’t vote for Gaetz, and says that if Republicans stand in the way of Trump’s nominations, he’ll work to get them out of the Senate.

I get what Tuberville is saying but that argument won’t sell with his colleagues who don’t like Matt Gaetz. They feel like it’s their duty whether to vote to confirm a nominee, and it sounds like from what he’s already said that Gaetz likely won’t get the job. If it’s two already, it’s going to be 3 or 4 pretty quickly and that will be enough to nix the nomination.
