Senator Kennedy took to the floor of the Senate today to discuss President Trump’s rescissions package, which is all the spending he wants cut out of the current budget.

Against the $7 trillion budget, the rescissions bill is a paltry amount, but that’s not his point. What he’s telling Republicans is that, if they can’t cut this little bit of spending out of the budget, then they were never serious about cutting spending in the first place.

But as only Kennedy can do, he has a great way of making his point.
