Senator John Kennedy grilled Biden’s Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen today over high prices caused by Bidenomics in the Financial Stability Oversight hearing.
But instead of addressing the high prices and how it would take a recession to bring them back down, Yellen claimed we don’t need to get the prices down and excused it all by claiming wages have gone up and that people are better off.
Watch below:
I love the argument Kennedy made in response by pointing out that wages have not gone up even close to enough to offset the higher prices: “[Wages are] not up 24%, they’re not up 27%, they’re not up 23% or 31%. People are really getting good at barely getting by because of Bidenmoics.”
At the very end, after Yellen claimed people had a ton of money left over to save or spend, Kennedy said “nice try” before he had to end his questioning.
