This is got to be one of the most garbage takes I’ve heard on why the holocaust happened, and it came from a leftist CBS News host this morning.

It was Face The Nation host Margaret Brennan, who was saying that JD Vance “was standing in a country where free speech was weaponized to conduct a genocide,” referring to the holocaust.

Rubio responded below, pointing out that it wasn’t free speech that caused a genocide, but an authoritarian Nazi regime that didn’t allow free speech.

JD Vance gave an epic speech in Munich and I honestly don’t see how anyone here could disagree with it. But clearly Brennan is on the side of those who criminalize ‘free speech’, which is no free speech at all if you can’t say what you want without going to jail.

CBS News needs to fire Brennan because she has shown how illiterate she is of the holocaust. She doesn’t deserve to have a position like this if she can’t even get this right.
