Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth ripped a Fox News reporter this morning as “one of the worst” during his presser on the Iran bombings.
Pentagon reporter Jennifer Griffin asked if he knew with certainty whether enriched uranium had been removed from Fordow, and that’s when he went off:
She took great issue with that and argued in her defense. It didn’t sway him at all.
Truthfully, I don’t think she’s been all that bad on some of this. For example, when the leak happened and the garbage media ran with it, she was the first one that I saw who reported that this DIA assessment was a low confidence intel report. Now I haven’t followed everything she said, so she probably had some bad reporting initially on the bombings that wasn’t accurate, which he didn’t like.
It’s also notable that he used to work for Fox New, so there’s no doubt he knows exactly who she is.
On the issue of whether the uranium was removed from Fordow, it took three reporters asking him but he finally said he wasn’t aware of any intelligence that suggested the uranium was removed.
