Here’s more from WAPT:
Friday, video surveillance showed a man in the Walmart parking lot vandalizing the hood and the driver’s side of a Telsa.
Officials have identified that suspect as Osvaldo Torres-Rodriguez, 63, a Cuban male who is not an U.S. citizen. He has an active felony arrest warrant.
Telsa dealerships, vehicles, and charging stations have faced attacks since Elon Musk, who owns Telsa, began his White House role.
The FBI announced incidents targeting Telsas have been recorded in at least nine states since January.
Trump posted a warning to offenders on his social media page: “People that get caught sabotaging Telsas will stand a very good chance of going to jail for up to twenty years, and that includes funders. We are looking for you.”
Police released a statement saying, “It does not matter what your political views are, you have no rights messing with people’s personal property.”
Police are preparing a warrant for the man’s arrest.
I hope Osvaldo enjoys the plane ride back to Cuba. Good riddance.
