White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked today about the president’s position on a bill, created by Rep. Maria Salazar from Florida, which will provide a pathway to citizenship for some illegals. I think they are calling it ‘comprehensive immigration reform’ and some ten Republicans have signed onto the bill. That’s the last thing we need right now, because President Trump is providing exactly that. And I don’t trust anyone who provides a pathway to citizenship for illegals, Republican or not.

Anyway, Leavitt essentially shut down the bill by pointing out President Trump’s hard position on amnesty for illegals:

With 11 Republicans agreeing with this bill, they could get it passed in the House if they could somehow get it on the floor for a vote. If they succeed in doing this, which I hope they don’t, I’m heartened to know that Trump would likely veto it.
