Governor Ron DeSantis went on CBS Evening News tonight to talk about North Korea in the wake of the news that Kim Jong Un is in Russia.
Specifically Norah O’Donnell asked him, in the context of the quasi-hypothetical that Russia gives North Korea advanced nuclear tech in exchange for weapons, if he would strike North Korea preemptively.
Watch below:
In short he says hell yes – if it means preventing them from launching a nuclear missile. She also wanted to know if he would defend Taiwan militarily against a Chinese invasion. Another yes.
Lastly he was asked about having the military at the border to go after these cartels and we already know the answer to that because he’s made that clear many times. But she presses him on it in terms of actually going into Mexico and he doesn’t back down at all. She even asks him if he’s authorizing the military to shoot migrants. Geez. He makes clear he’d only go after people with hostile intent.
