Governor DeSantis had a great response this morning to Gavin Newsom’s “fixation” with him and the state of Florida.

DeSantis started by pointing out the huge problems that Newsom has in his state which we all see in San Francisco and Los Angeles. But also with the people fleeing the state. Gov DeSantis pointed that California has always gained population every year until Newsom became governor, saying “he’s the first governor that’s overseen a massive exodus out of California.”

He then drops the mic while calling Newsom out:

“He has a real, serious fixation on Florida but what I would tell him is … stop pussyfooting around. Are you going to throw your hat in the ring and challenge Joe? Or are you going to sit on the sidelines and chirp? Why don’t you throw your hat in the ring, and then we’ll go ahead and talk about what’s happening.”

Boom. What a great response all the way around. This is just yet another reason why I’m a big fan of DeSantis for president. He’s tough as nails.
