Governor DeSantis was on Fox News tonight and he was asked to respond to criticism of his campaign not connecting with voters.

But right before that, and I don’t have video of this, DeSantis talked about being the most attacked candidate in the Republican primary fight. Here’s what he said via CNN’s Katilan Collins:

I like his point about Trump spending more attacking him than he spend helping Republicans in the midterms. Really says a lot.

It’s a great point that he made regarding fundraising. He’s beating everyone in fundraising, including Trump with all of his empathy donations regarding the phony attacks on him. So clearly his campaign is connecting with voters.

DeSantis says they are still building out their campaign machine and so he really hasn’t started yet getting out his message like he will. In other words, don’t lose hope. Stay tuned. There’s plenty of time.
