NextImg:WATCH: Dallas high school shooter Tracy Haynes Jr. records video before turning himself into police – The Right Scoop

The school shooter in Dallas, who wounded four people earlier this week, recorded a video after the shooting while he was on the run, before he decided to turn himself into police.

Tracy Haynes Jr. claimed that “all these ni**ers said they gone kill me, and look what happened..”

He said he knew what he did was wrong in the video, and later that day turned himself into police.

Here’s the video:

Here’s more on what happened from WFAA:

The suspect in the Wilmer-Hutchins High School shooting Tuesday was let into the Dallas school by another student before he began firing at students “indiscriminately” and shooting one student at “point-blank,” according to an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by WFAA.

Tracy Haynes Jr., 17, was identified in the affidavit as the suspect. He faces a charge of aggravated assault mass shooting, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit initially said Haynes struck five students, but Dallas Fire-Rescue officials later clarified that one of those students was not shot and had instead suffered anxiety-related symptoms.

The shooting happened shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday at Wilmer-Hutchins in Southeast Dallas. The affidavit said at 1:03 p.m., an “unidentified student” let Haynes Jr. into the school through an unsecured door. Haynes Jr. then walked a hallway until he saw multiple male students, according to the affidavit. Haynes Jr. “displayed a firearm and began firing at the students indiscriminately,” striking several of them, the affidavit said.

Haynes Jr. then approached a student “who was not able to run,” the affidavit said, “and appeared to take a point-blank shot at the student.”

Haynes Jr. later turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday night.

Antong Lucky, the president of a violence prevention group Urban Specialists, brought Haynes Jr. to surrender after his family called the group’s gun violence hotline.

“He adamantly said no, I gotta deal with this. I want to turn myself in. I don’t want to go on the run. And that stuck with me that stood out to me,” Lucky said.
