Trump created quite the hubbub this weekend with statements he made on Friday night at a Turning Point Action speech where he was encouraging Christians to get out the vote.
Trump said: “Get out and vote just this time. You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years – you know what? It will be fixed. It’ll be fine. You won’t have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians… You’ve got to get out and vote. In four years, you don’t have to vote again, we’ll have it fixed so good you’re not going to have to vote.”
Honestly, I think Chris Sununu was exactly right when he said Trump was just being hyperbolic. He just wants people to know that he intends on fixing the country like it’s never been fixed before.
Was it a weird thing to say? Yes. Do I know exactly what he meant by that? No.
But then this isn’t new when it comes to Trump. He loves to exaggerate to make his points. I just don’t think he meant anything nefarious by it.
