CNN reporter Evan Perez lied on-air this morning about semi-automatic rifles in the wake of the Catholic school shooting in Minneapolis, where the now-dead suspect used a semi-automatic rifle to kill two children and wound many more.

Perez literally claimed that semi-automatic rifles can fire ‘dozens of bullets’ in one trigger pull:

This is an outright lie meant to demean the use of semi-automatic rifles, which is actually only one bullet per one trigger pull. Perez has been working at CNN for years and has covered many shootings, and yet he is still lying about such a basic detail.
