Here’s more from DC Examiner:

Two Minnesota politicians and their spouses have reportedly been shot by a gunman impersonating a police officer.

Their conditions are “grave,” according to ABC News.

A manhunt is currently underway for the suspect, who allegedly shot Democratic Minnesota State Sen. John Hoffman in Champlin and Democratic Minnesota State Rep. Melissa Hortman in Brooklyn Park, the former Speaker of the chamber.

Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) said he has been briefed on the situation and he’s activated the state’s emergency operations center.

“Local law enforcement in Champlin and Brooklyn Park have the full resources of the State of Minnesota behind them,” he wrote on X. “We are monitoring the situation closely and will share more information soon.”

Police have reported that the suspect is a white man with brown hair wearing black body armor over a blue shirt and blue pants, who is impersonating law enforcement.

A shelter-in-place order has been issued near the site of the shootings. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) said the order surrounds the Edinburgh Golf Course in Brooklyn Park.

There will be a press conference at 10:30 a.m. in Minnesota to brief the public on early findings.

UPDATE: It’s being reported by NBC News that Democratic Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband were killed by the gunman and Democratic Sen. John Hoffman of Champlin and his wife, who were injured, are still alive.

This is now an assassination and a murder investigation.

UPDATE 2: President Trump has released a statement:

I have been briefed on the terrible shooting that took place in Minnesota, which appears to be a targeted attack against State Lawmakers. Our Attorney General, Pam Bondi, and the FBI, are investigating the situation, and they will be prosecuting anyone involved to the fullest extent of the law. Such horrific violence will not be tolerated in the United States of America. God Bless the great people of Minnesota, a truly great place!

UPDATE 3: The Minnesota State Patrol are asking people not to attend the ‘No Kings’ rallies because this shooter is somehow connected to it:
