NextImg:UNREAL REPORT: Western NC county shuts down Helene relief homes built by Amish while people live in TENTS – The Right Scoop

Many of the Amish came from Indiana to build tiny homes (sheds) in Western North Carolina and state and local officials are not allowing them to be used because they don’t pass inspection.

Here’s a video from someone who lives in Western North Carolina:

@evan.vilardo11 ????Burnsville NC, In this video, a camp director reveals that the county shut down 100 newly donated tiny homes intended for those in need. Shocking scenes from Burnsville NC and surrounding towns of Asheville reveal miles of debris, with reports from locals, volunteers, and rescue teams indicating thousands of deaths. Despite these on-the-ground accounts being shared on TikTok and YouTube, mainstream media has not covered the story. Many of these posts are being shadowbanned or flagged as misinformation, suppressing the truth and creating an ongoing battle to spread awareness.

This matches what was posted earlier this month by Mitchell County, saying that these temporary dwellings must pass inspection in order to be used. This was posted on November 6:

This is so outrageous because people are living in tents in the freezing cold, using wood stoves to try and stay warm. These little homes amount to small sheds. It’s not like a massive roof is going to fall on someone staying in it. The elements are terrible right now in the mountains of North Carolina and anything to protect from the weather is a must. These officials need to relax the standards at least until something more permanent can be established.
