Trump spoke to the media after the Supreme Court heard arguments today on Colorado kicking him off the ballot over the notion that he lead an insurrection on January 6th.

In his comments, he actually called January 6th an ‘insurrection’ and suggested it was caused by Nancy Pelosi.

MSN gives more context for his comments, in which he said “I think it was an insurrection caused by Nancy Pelosi. This was an insurrection, if it was an insurrection, which, there were no guns, there were no anything, except for the fact that they shot Ashli Babbitt. Somebody from, at least four, shot Ashli Babbitt. So unnecessary, so sad, so horrible. But there were no guns. There were no anything.”

Look, Trump is clearly trying to do the switcheroo thing to Pelosi over what she did to him. I get it but I wish he wouldn’t though. It was a riot, not an insurrection, and he should stick to that language.

In making this comment Trump just gave Biden and his counterparts a gift. They will take this comment out of context and use it in their campaign ads all over TV, claiming even Trump calls J6 an insurrection. Ugh.
