After Governor Ron DeSantis exited the presidential race and endorsed Donald Trump for reelection, Team Trump released this statement from the former president:

As I’ve made clear from the beginning, I will support Trump for reelection should he be the nominee and it looks like that’s what it’s going to be.

I will say it was awfully big of DeSantis to endorse Trump after the way he was treated by Trump and some of his supporters. It’s going to be hard for me to forget the way Trump smeared DeSantis and lied about him just to bury him in the election. But like DeSantis, we know there are more important things right now and that is to defeat Joe Biden and get Trump back in the White House.
