Tim Scott is officially announcing his 2024 presidential run this morning, pushing a Reaganesque vision of the country that sounds really good and is good for the country to hear.

But can he really win? He’s got a lot of money, upwards of 22 million to run his campaign. And he’s got a good message. However with big dogs like Trump and DeSantis, who is supposed to announce this week as well, I just don’t see it happening.

And honestly, the thing that still sticks in my craw is his endorsement of the super RINO Senator Murkowski from Alaska last year. Not in the general, but in the Republican primary!

That never did make any sense to me, but what it does do is make me question his sincerity to the conservative cause. It makes me think he’ll be quicker to compromise with the swamp than fight the swamp.

That’s not what we need in Washington. So no, I don’t think he can win. But while he is running, I hope someone asks him about endorsing Murkowski in the primary.
