Tucker Carlson did an interview two days ago where he accused Ben Shapiro of not caring about this country because Shapiro been focusing on the war in Israel after the horrendous October 7th attack by Hamas.
Carlson said “I’m shocked how little they care about the country, including the person you mentioned, and I can’t imagine how someone like that could get an audience of people who claim to care about America because he doesn’t, obviously.”
See for yourself:
The “including the person you mentioned” line by Tucker referred to the host mentioning Ben Shapiro in part of his question, just fyi.
But this is really a despicable line of attack that didn’t make sense to me the first time I heard it and it doesn’t now. As if you can’t care about a ‘foreign war’ and what’s going on in this country at the same time. That’s complete and utter nonsense. And again, comparing fentanyl deaths to the atrocities that happened on October 7th is ludicrous.
I don’t listen to Ben Shapiro’s daily podcast show but all you have to do is go back and look at his podcasts feed and he clearly discusses far more than just the Hamas war against Israel. To say he obviously doesn’t care about America is revolting because, as far back as I can remember, Ben Shapiro has been a great and brilliant pro-America voice that exposes Democrat/socialist lies and policies about this country. He travels around and speaks in sometimes hostile university settings just to fight and expose the left on their turf.
What it sounds like to me is that, by continuing to promote this narrative, Tucker is pushing is a version of the America first movement that cares only about America. And I don’t think even Trump would be on board with that. I know I certainly can’t.
