Victoria Coats with the Heritage Foundation revealed today what she calls the biggest story that no one is talking about this week.

It was reported last week by the WSJ that Joe Biden just made an absurd agreement with China in the name of climate change which she says will just be exploited by the Chinese for any gain they can get over us.

Here’s what she writes:

China has historically exploited this agreement to access U.S. cutting-edge technology and steal intellectual property, while it has done nothing to curb its climate abuse, which is reaching historic proportions.

In the wake of the COVID19 pandemic, it’s the height of foolishness to try to make a good-faith agreement with the CCP on scientific cooperation. They have no intention of cooperating, they are only probing for weakness and seeking an advantage.

This sweeping agreement includes “an estimated 30 agency-level protocols and 40 sub-agreements accompany the STA in areas that include agriculture; basic science; biomedical research and health; energy; environment; earth, atmospheric, marine sciences and remote sensing; standards and metrology; nuclear fusion and safety; and transportation.” according to CRS.

While the STA may have been a well-intentioned effort to reduce tensions and increase cooperation in the past, the PRC’s willingness to weaponize everything from virus research to solar panels in this space now makes it an intolerable threat to American national security.

The incoming Trump administration, notably the Secretaries of Agriculture, Energy and Health and Human Services should initiate an immediate review, and Congress should exercise its oversight authority to determine if the U.S. should remain in this agreement.

She said it all. January 20th can’t come soon enough to end this madness and I hope Trump’s incoming cabinet does exactly what she says and seeks to kill this agreement.
