Republican Dave McCormick has won the Senate race in Pennsylvania, according to reports, and yet it hasn’t been called because there are outstanding ballots in Philadelphia.
Guy Benson reports that a source in the race is “mystified and exasperated” over the delay in calling the race and says Bob Casey has no path to victory at this point:
That being said, not even Decision Desk has called the race yet.
Fox News just did a report on the race and said that if the race is within .5% where it currently sits, state law automatically triggers a recount. But they say McCormick’s team doesn’t believe once the remaining ballots are counted that will be an issue.
Luke Thompson, whose tweet sparked this report said this:
Hopefully this gets called soon and Republicans can enjoy a 53 vote majority in the Senate.
UPDATE: McCormick’s campaign released this statement:
In related news, Kari Lake is still behind just over 2 points to Ruben Gallego in Arizona. But some Republicans believe she can still pull this race out.
