It’s being reported tonight that New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been approached to run as a vice presidential candidate this fall.

No, it wasn’t Trump who approached him. It was Robert Kennedy Jr:

It sounds to me like Robert Kennedy Jr. is looking for some star power to bolster his ticket. But I just don’t see it happening with Aaron Rodgers. He just signed with the Jets last summer and then during the first game he got injured. I’m sure he intends to play this year and that would most certainly get in the way of running for office on any level.

But if this is any indication, Robert Kennedy Jr. will have someone with some common sense and a lot of influence on his ticket.
