Peter Thiel made a comment on his podcast interview with Bari Weiss that’s sure to ruffle the feathers of Team Trump.

Thiel was a huge supporter of Trump in 2016. I’m not sure if he is still a Trump supporter these days, but he did say that he thinks DeSantis would make a terrific president and he didn’t caveat it with “in 2028” or “down the road”.

His full comment: “I think ⁦DeSantis⁩ would make a terrific President. If he’s the Republican nominee, I will strongly support him in 2024.”

It’s a short audio clip and I actually searched the Bari Weiss podcast for it and couldn’t find it. I just wanted to hear what was around it to get a better idea of the context. Ah well.

Either way, it is a definitive statement but not a surprising one since Thiel is a Republican. I guess we’ll have to wait and see if Trump decides to bash Thiel for this on his Truth Social account.
