A new national poll is out by Emerson College and it shows Kamala leading President Trump by a solid four percent.

The poll of likely voters shows Kamala leading Trump 50% to 46%.

According to Steve Deace, Emerson is “the best mainstream pollster of the last couple cycles.” While that may be worrisome, it’s important to remember that Kamala is still in her honeymoon period.

As Trump’s pollster pointed out last month, don’t believe the hype that Kamala is changing the race. Her honeymoon period will fade and the fundamentals of the race are still the same.

Also the debate they have will probably do more to set the tone of the race than anything else.

Fox News came out with a poll yesterday showing Trump leading Kamala by a single point. But their August poll was among registered voters, not likely voters.

Again, I don’t think it’s time to worry yet. That said, Trump certainly has his work cut out for him though.
