Mark Levin wrote today on X how Alvin Bragg’s case against Trump, which is on full display, might actually be hurting Jack Smith’s case at the Supreme Court.
Levin is referring to the immunity case currently before the Supreme Court and here’s what he said:
Bragg may be killing Jack Smith’s immunity arguments in the Supreme Court
The Bragg spectacle is so bad and damaging to the justice system it could create collateral damage reaching into Jack Smith’s radical position on immunity.
The Bragg case will do more to persuade any persuadable Supreme Court justices that Jack Smith’s extreme immunity argument cannot stand. Although the Bragg case is not about a presidential act per se, the Bragg case is about lawfare run amok against a former president running again for president. The justices need only see what’s happening in the Bragg case, see what’s happening in Georgia, see what’s happening in the two federal cases to realize that this lawfare will only get worse, further poison the justice system, and further draw the judiciary into politics if it doesn’t step in now and fix it rather than contribute to it.
I hope Levin is right about this because if it did help Trump at the Supreme Court, it would be something ‘good’ actually coming from this ridiculous case.
