JUST IN: Elon Musk appears to make amends with Marco Rubio after dinner with Trump – The Right Scoop

It was revealed by Karoline Leavitt yesterday that both Secretary of State Marco Rubio and DOGE leader Elon Musk had dinner together with President Trump at Mar-a-Lago this weekend.
And now it appears that Musk is making a concerted effort to show that there is no bad blood at all between the two.
Early this morning Secretary Rubio tweeted this about USAID programs:
After a 6 week review we are officially cancelling 83% of the programs at USAID.
The 5200 contracts that are now cancelled spent tens of billions of dollars in ways that did not serve, (and in some cases even harmed), the core national interests of the United States.
In consultation with Congress, we intend for the remaining 18% of programs we are keeping (approximately 1000) to now be administered more effectively under the State Department.
Thank you to DOGE and our hardworking staff who worked very long hours to achieve this overdue and historic reform.
Musk replied to Rubio, saying “Tough, but necessary. Good working with you. The important parts of USAID should always have been with Dept of State.”
That almost sounds like a bit of overkill on Elon’s part, but probably necessary to show the garbage media that they really are on good terms.
The biggest news out of this is what Rubio tweeted about USAID and it is truly great news. USAID is finally dead and the 18% of the programs they are keeping is being absorbed by the State Department. Well done President Trump!
