Forgotten and cast aside relic of 2024 Tim Walz of Minnesota put on an embarrassing and sad display that made even Captain Moonbeam II Gavin Newsom cringe on the California governor’s latest podcast.
Walz turned a conversation they were having about some nonsense into even more nonsense when he tried to make it about him being very manly and tough, and bragging that it scares Republicans, WHILE they were complaining about so-called “toxic masculinity” on the conservative side of the aisle.
He whined about how he was covered by the press (Fox News) and, while pretending not to care and blaming it on misogyny and toxic masculinity, he went out of his way to tough guy talk, mention his hunting and football coaching and fondness for beards (even though he doesn’t have one. Hmmm…) and how he can fix a truck.
“I think I could most of their ass, I do think that,” Walz said at one point as Newsom forced a laugh. He tried to simultaneously distance himself from the thing he was saying by dismissing the idea as a “WWE” idea.
The cringe is almost too much to watch. So uncomfortable.
“I think I scare them a little bit,” he said a few minutes later after they both talked about the lack of substantive arguments and the evils of masculine notions on the right. (Oh and during that part they complain about a lack of substance while describing their opponents as racists, misogynists, and of course, “weird.”)
It’s just the worst thing you’ll see all day. Honestly I’d probably be embarrassed for him if I could remember who he is.
