The Black mayor of Chicago Brandon Johnson just said that his critics, who want the city of Chicago to be fiscally responsible, are just like people long ago who opposed freeing the slaves.

Totally not kidding.

Mayor Johnson wants to give the teachers union in Chicago everything they are demanding and he wants taxpayers to take out a high-interest $300 million loan to do it. Unbelievable.

And now he’s comparing critics of his absurd plan to those who were against freeing black people. This is what communists and dictators do when they encounter substantial opposition. They pull out the race card – or even better, the slavery card – and tell people that their critics are no better than the evil white people the country fought a civil war against just to free the slaves.

It’s not just insane, it’s evil.
