ABC News just published an article on the massive rise in antisemitic violence, and if they had stopped there it would have been a good article.
But as the title suggests in their tweet, they played the ‘both sides’ argument by claiming ‘Islamophobia’ is on the rise as well.
Seriously.
ABC points out, from an April audit by the ADL, that “antisemitic incidents, including assaults and vandalism, has jumped 344% over the past five years and increased 893% over the past 10 years.”
They add “Since the Oct. 7, 2023, surprise attack on Israel by Hamas terrorists, more than 10,000 antisemitic incidents have been reported in the United States alone, according to the ADL.”
ABC goes on to name a number of recent antisemitic attacks, in addition to the Boulder firebombing attack, which includes the murder of the Israeli embassy staffers and the arson attack on Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro.
But then they offset all of this with the Islamophobia trope:
Islamophobic attack have also been on the rise, according to a report issued in March by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization. CAIR reported that it received more than 8,650 complaints in 2024, the highest number the group has ever gotten.
ABC names two attacks on Palestinians, both of which happened back in 2023, and one of which police refuse to label a hate crime because they don’t have enough evidence to support it.
This is why people hate the garbage media. They refuse to call out the hatred of Jews which sits directly in the heart of the Democratic Party. They always want to downplay it with the ‘both sides’ trope, just as Nancy Pelosi did when one of her own members, Ilhan Omar, starting spewing antisemitic trash and offended the Jewish wing of the Democrat Party in the House.
It’s absolutely despicable.
