The House just passed the Parents Bill of Rights Act by a vote of 213-208 today.

According to Fox News, the bill “would require school districts to give parents access to curriculum and reading lists and would require schools to inform parents if school staff begin encouraging or promoting their child’s gender transition.”

Not a single Democrat voted for the bill, as many of them claimed it was fascist and extreme.

But five Republicans also voted against it and you might be surprised at some of the names.

First we have Rep. Lawler. He’s from New York, a very blue state.

But the next four who voted nay surprised me as they all have excellent liberty scores:

Rep. Biggs from Arizona.

Rep. Gaetz from Florida.

Rep. Buck from Colorado.

Rep. Rosendale from Montana.

When I first saw that the bill passed the House I wondered if there was even a slight chance of it passing the Senate. I know Schumer probably wouldn’t let it come to the floor, but I wanted to know if any Democrats voted for it.

The fact that they all voted against it and took five Republicans with them means that even if it were to come up in the Senate it likely wouldn’t pass.
