On a hot mic moment at the State of the Union this week captured by C-SPAN cameras, Joe Biden, um, joked? — joked with staffers of former Congressional Black Caucus chair4 Rep. James Clyburn “I work for Jim, too.”

One of Biden’s go-to “jokes” is to say he works for them, frequently referring to his wife or to female staffers in a backhanded manner. But this time he made his apparent wisecrack to Clyburn staffers while posing for photos after the State of the Union address — after first having an uncomfortable senior moment.

Watch:

“Oh that’s just a dumb joke” they will say.

Yeah a joke that A) tells a story about how the party works, B) belittles Clyburn in a way that if Trump did it would be called racist, and C) is so awkward and old he sounds like he might collapse at any moment.

And of course, it’s not worth the media’s time.
