


A fire set at Governor Josh Shapiro’s mansion in the wee hours of the morning is being investigated by State Police for arson.
Fortunately, Governor Shapiro and his family were able to escape safely.

A fire at the Pennsylvania Governor’s Residence in Harrisburg on Sunday morning is being investigated as an arson, according to state police.
Gov. Josh Shapiro and his family were in different area of the residence at the time of the fire and were able to evacuate safely, the news release states. They were not injured.
Firefighters responded around 2 a.m. to the residence on North Front Street in Harrisburg for a report of a fire, the release states.
“While the fire was successfully extinguished, it caused a significant amount of damage to a portion of the residence,” according to a PSP Tips Facebook page.
“While the investigation is ongoing, the State Police is prepared to say at this time that this was an act of arson,” the release states.
State police remain on the scene, the release states. The investigation involves a multiple agencies.
I hope whoever did this is caught and charged with attempted murder because that’s exactly what this is, assuming it was indeed arson.
