Yesterday DHS announced that multiple Border Patrol vehicles in southern California had been “violently targeted” during their lawful operations, posting photos of the damage and details on what happened.

They even write that one of their vehicles was totaled by an activist who struck it.

Today in Bell and Maywood, CA, Border Patrol vehicles were violently targeted during lawful operations.

On Atlantic Blvd, one vehicle was rammed and had its tires slashed. On Slauson Ave, a civilian struck a federal vehicle, totaling it. The driver was arrested for suspicion of vehicular assault as a mob formed and slashed additional tires. LAPD, LAFD, OFO teams, and Border Patrol Special Operations responded and restored order. One suspect is in custody and will be presented to U.S. Attorney’s Office for criminal prosecution.

Federal law enforcement is facing an ever-escalating increase in assaults—but we will not be deterred. Secretary Noem’s message is clear: If you assault a federal officer, you will be prosecuted. CBP and our partners will continue to enforce the law—relentless and unapologetic.

This is utterly outrageous and law enforcement shouldn’t be the only ones having to defend themselves against this type of violence. Every Democrat should speak out against this in strong and nonequivocating terms. It should not be seen as acceptable for anyone to do this.

Also if law enforcement started shooting some of these people who are doing this, I guarantee you it would eventually stop. What a sad state of affairs we are in where one political party supports this madness.
