This morning Governor DeSantis was asked about a line of attack that Trump keeps putting out there on his record in the state of Florida with regard to COVID.

DeSantis responded that when Trump makes statements like Cuomo did better on COVID than Florida, he’s revealing himself to be full of it.

The tweet itself says: “DeSantis responds to a reporter’s question about Trump’s COVID attacks: “When you are saying that Cuomo did better on COVID than Florida did, you are just revealing yourself to be FULL OF IT … It shows that if you have to make that argument, then you probably don’t have very good arguments. I want to beat Biden, okay? I will do that … but more importantly than that I will actually bring these policies for a landing and get it all done.””

He’s right. When Trump has to resort to continual lies about DeSantis’ record in Florida, he doesn’t have any good arguments.

And for those of you complaining about my coverage of DeSantis versus Trump, let me remind you again that it was Trump who left me when he began lying about the governor of Florida long before he even entered the race. I would have been happy to cast both candidates in a positive light side by side, however that’s hard to do when Trump continues to go out of his way to lie all the time about DeSantis.
