Governor DeSantis today doubled down on his campaign releasing a video that showed Trump supporting the transgender movement when it came to his beauty pageant and his bathrooms at Trump tower.

Honestly I like the video. I didn’t post it because it really didn’t bother me, but it also didn’t impress me that much either.

But then I read that there’s a great controversy over the video and that kinda shocked me.

So today DeSantis was asked about it on Tomi Lahren’s show and he said this:

“I think, you know, identifying Donald Trump as really being a pioneer in injecting gender ideology into the mainstream, where he was having men compete against women in his beauty pageants, I think that’s totally fair game because he’s now campaigning saying the opposite, that he doesn’t think that you should have men competing in women’s things like athletics.”

I think he’s absolutely right. We’re not talking about something Trump said in 2005. Trump was forced to sell the Miss Universe pageant back in 2015 after he began running for president. So yeah, fair game.

And honestly, puh-lease. After the unfair and dirty attacks Trump has leveled against him, this isn’t even in the same universe as any of that. Outraged people really need to get some perspective. All the attacks DeSantis has so far leveled at Trump have always been factual, accurate and fair.
