President Trump was asked today about sending weapons to Ukraine, and he said that we have to send them weapons because they have to be able to defend themselves against Russia.

Trump made clear the other day he wasn’t happy with Putin and his unwillingness to budge on the war, so he immediately began talking to President Zelenskyy about air defenses and he’s now made clear he’s going to also send weapons.

Unlike Joe Biden and certain Republicans, I really don’t think Trump is interested in fighting a proxy war against Russia. The only reason he’s doing this is because Putin won’t stop fighting.
