A man in front of the Clark County Court today brutally attacked the judge presiding over this case after she denied him probation. The man, after saying ‘f— that b—-!”, physically jumped over the bench and onto the judge and began assaulting her.

After he was denied probation on a charge of attempted battery with substantial bodily harm, Deobra Redden, a three-time felon who has served time for domestic violence, leaped over the bench of Clark County Judge Mary Kay Holthus and started punching her before he was restrained by marshals.

The judge hit her head but was not injured. One of the marshals was injured.

Good grief. Talk about someone with an out-of-control temper. I guess the man just proved the judge wasn’t wrong in her decision to deny him probation.
