A reporter asked what, as face value, sounds like a really stupid question on the Texas flooding. But underlying this ‘stupid’ question is an anti-Trump premise of blaming the president for the flood deaths. You know, that garbage narrative that started yesterday about DOGE cuts or something.
The reporter asked why the NWS alerts came while people were sleeping and what the administration is doing to ensure the alerts come out earlier, suggesting that NWS didn’t do their job properly.
But Leavitt quickly pointed out that the flood came around 4AM that morning, saying the flood was an act of God and that the president has no control over the timing of storms. She then proceeded to school the reporter on when the all alerts came out, demonstrating that NWS did their job properly.
Watch below:
If there is an anti-Trump narrative, some of these reporters will latch on to it and pretend that it’s completely accurate, when we all know it’s absolute garbage. Kudos to Leavitt for being prepared to hit back against his nonsense.
