White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced today that they’ve just removed the White House Correspondents Association, a group of DC-based journalists, from the briefing room.
The WHCA has long been the gatekeeper of those who enter the briefing room to ask questions, but no longer. Leavitt said the White House will be returning that power to the people, and that the White House Press Team will be doing this going forward.
