President Trump took to Truth Social this morning and undid the disinvite Senator Rand Paul received from the White House yesterday regarding tonight’s picnic, and extended a new invitation to him, saying “of course” he’s invited to come tonight with his family.

Here’s what he wrote:

Of course Senator Rand Paul and his beautiful wife and family are invited to the BIG White House Party tonight. He’s the toughest vote in the history of the U.S. Senate, but why wouldn’t he be? Besides, it gives me more time to get his Vote on the Great, Big, Beautiful Bill, one of the greatest and most important pieces of legislation ever put before our Senators & Congressmen/women. It will help to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! I look forward to seeing Rand. The Party will be Great!

This is exactly what I thought Trump would do in the first place. Instead of alienating Paul, he’d at least want to try to use the party to convince him, perhaps by giving him a bigger vision of what he’s trying to do with his agenda and with Congress.
