President Trump’s team has just cleaned house at an agency over employees reportedly failing to follow his executive order related to DEI and overseas federal funding. In fact they were trying to circumvent it, according to Susan Crabtree at Real Clear Politics.
She writes a number of officials at the U.S. Agency of International Development (USAID) were “conspiring to circumvent President Trump’s executive orders on the halting of federal aid funds to overseas programs and DEI initiatives, according to an agency-wide email.”
The acting USAID administrator said “we have decided to put a number of USAID employees on administrative leave with full pay and benefits until further notice while we complete our analysis of these actions.”
Crabtree adds “I wrote about the corrupt practice at USAID during Trump’s first term in office, in which top officials retaliated against Mark Moyar, a Trump appointee assigned to ferret out agency waste and abuse, by yanking his security clearance and pushing him out of the agency.”
Yeah that won’t happen this time. I hope these employees get the boot from the acting administrator to send a message to anyone else who might be considering a betrayal of President Trump and his executive orders.
