President Trump again today called on Leader Thune in the Senate to end their recess and confirm his 135 nominees, saying it’s so ‘badly needed’.

Lee just confirmed what Rep. Massie said yesterday, that these pro-forma sessions are solely to stop Trump from confirming his nominees himself. And honestly, if they want to remain on recess, they should allow Trump to recess-appoint his nominees to their proper positions. And also it saves the Senate a lot of work.

Earlier today, Grok told me that the House can keep the Senate from recessing by continuing their pro-forma sessions as well. If Grok knows what it’s talking about, then Johnson is complicit in this as well and needs to stop.
