Today just keeps getting better and better. The Supreme Court had already lifted an injunction against President Trump’s deportation of criminal illegals to South Sudan in Africa. But apparently the lower court Biden judge was still trying to hold the Trump administration to one of their injunctions.
Today the Supreme Court clarified that their ruling on June 23 referred to all of Judge Murphy’s injunctions, clearing the way for DHS to go ahead and move these illegals from Djibouti, where they are currently being held, to South Sudan.
Here’s the clarification:
BREAKING: #SCOTUS issues clarification about its June 23rd order involving rulings by Mass. federal judge Murphy. Trump admin had argued Murphy was in “defiance” of a Supreme Court order. SCOTUS confirms that its June 23rd order applies to rulings by Murphy on both April 18 and May 21.
Dissent by J. Sotomayor and J. Jackson:
“Today’s order clarifies only one thing: Other litigants must follow the rules, but the administration has the Supreme Court on speed dial.”
