


The Supreme Court has given the Biden administration a win, at least for now, on abortion restrictions in Idaho where the only exception to get an abortion is when the life of the mother is in jeopardy.
The Biden administration was saying federal law superseded Idaho’s law in that there should be emergency access to abortion outside of the life of the mother exception.
The high court dismissed the case, removed its previously ordered stay on the injunction blocking Idaho’s abortion ban and sent it back to the lower courts to be decided, effectively punting for now since it’s an election year.
This means Idaho can no longer restrict abortions to just the exception which protects the life of the mother.
