Here’s a little more:
Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D., Calif.) has died at 90 years old, Punchbowl News reported on Friday.
The California senator had faced myriad health problems during her final term, including a nearly three-month absence from Washington, D.C., this year after she was hospitalized with a shingles infection. She also reportedly struggled to recognize long-time colleagues and repeated herself in conversations.
Feinstein defied calls from some of her Democratic colleagues to resign from the Senate over concerns about her mental fitness. She announced in February that she would resign after finishing out her term.
The last time we wrote about Feinstein was in May, when she was confused about having been absent for three months with a shingles infection.
May she Rest In Peace.
