President Trump just posted on Truth Social that he’s directing his DOJ to do everything they can to try and free Tina Peters, who he calls a “Political Prisoner’, from a Colorado prison after she was sentenced to 9 years for allowing voter data breach to try and prove Dominion helped steal the 2020 election.

Here’s what he had to say:

Radical Left Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser ignores Illegals committing Violent Crimes like Rape and Murder in his State and, instead, jailed Tina Peters, a 69-year-old Gold Star mother who worked to expose and document Democrat Election Fraud. Tina is an innocent Political Prisoner being horribly and unjustly punished in the form of Cruel and Unusual Punishment. This is a Communist persecution by the Radical Left Democrats to cover up their Election crimes and misdeeds in 2020.

The same Democrat Party that flies to El Salvador to try to free an MS-13 Terrorist, is cruelly imprisoning, perhaps for life, a grandmother whose brave and heroic son gave his life for America. Colorado must end this unjust incarceration of an innocent American. I am hereby directing the Department of Justice to take all necessary action to help secure the release of this “hostage” being held in a Colorado prison by the Democrats, for political reasons. Trump makes a great juxtaposition of Democrats flying to El Salvador to coddle a violent MS-13 gangbanger while a Democrat state over penalizes a 69-year-old woman who was fighting to prove that the 2020 election was stolen.

Look, I’m not saying Tina Peters is innocent because it looks like she made some serious errors in judgment and deserves punishment. But nine years is an awful amount of time at that age, especially if your body begins to go to pot. She’d be almost 80-years-old when she finally got out of prison.

But can the DOJ do anything about this? Since it’s a state issue, I’m not sure what they can do in the matter. But I guess we’ll find out…
