The Office of Management and Budget just released what I would call a terse statement about the Democrats continuing to keep the Schumer Shutdown going.

Here’s what they wrote:

 
At Trump’s request, the Pentagon is using its research and development accounts to pay the troops. I’m not sure how Trump is paying law enforcement, but I would guess he might be using funds raised from the tariffs.

But the more important note here is that the layoffs (RIFs) will continue, which is something Democrats clearly don’t really care about.
