Governor Mike DeWine of Ohio just vetoed a bill that would have banned transgender medical care for minors. The bill would have also protected women’s sports from transgender pretenders.

“Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has vetoed a bill that would have banned gender affirming care for minors. Explaining his veto, DeWine said if the bill became law that “Ohio would be saying that the state, that the government, knows better what is medically best for a child than the two people who love that child the most, the parents.””

Why does Ohio always elect spineless Republicans to office? Before this it was John Kasich who effectively a RINO and now DeWine shows his true colors again by allowing this nonsense.

As Riley Gaines pointed out, the Ohio legislature easily has a veto-proof majority in both houses and should make quick work of overriding this veto.

As a side note, this is the same kind of crap that Haley has espoused in the past when she said “the law should stay out of it”, referring to minors who want to transgender themselves.
