Mark Levin has just responded to the Gaza Peace Plan put forth by President Trump and agreed to by all the nations involved.

Levin is optimistic about it, and here’s what he has to say about the specifics:

THE TRUMP PEACE PLAN

After reading the final plan and watching carefully the press conference just now, I am optimistic about the broad parameters of this plan. Let me be specific:

1. Unlike the earlier leaked drafts, there is no mention of Judea and Samaria. Previous drafts declared that Israel must not annex them. This was not a relevant issue and a big sticking point with me. I am glad it was dropped.

2. I oppose a Palestinian state, period. There is no grant of a Palestinian state in the deal, as there appeared to be in earlier leaked drafts. The language is such that it requires a complete transformation of the Palestinian culture and ideology, which — unfortunately — is highly unlikely. Moreover, the word “may” is not binding at all.

3. If Hamas rejects the deal or otherwise sabotages it after putatively accepting it, the Israelis are free to militarily demolish them, with full U.S. support.

As for the governing aspects of Gaza, and the all-important security requirements for Israel, I have faith in both the President and the Prime Minister that they, above all others, know what they are doing. There are many details and pieces that have to fall into place, and many more details and pieces that have to be worked out, so none of this will be easy or certain. And as this plays out, I will have further comments along the way, as will others. But I think the broad parameters provide a solid foundation. Time will tell

The more I think about this peace plan, especially with the release of all the hostages, I think both Trump and Netanyahu know Hamas won’t accept it. We’ll see how it plays out with the pressure these Arab countries will put on Hamas, but I don’t believe they will surrender, which makes this plan moot and will give Israel the go ahead to exterminate Hamas.

The horrible downside is that the rest of the hostages, short of a miraculous rescue, will most certainly die. I’ve said from the beginning that because of how evil and savage Hamas is, and how necessary these hostages are to the continued existence of these Muslim terrorists, that Israel will have to decide at some point that these hostages are as good as dead if they truly want to exterminate Hamas. I hate it with every fiber of my being because it is absolutely unfair to these innocent hostages, who have suffered tremendously since they were taken, but Hamas has put Israel in this position after what they did. The lives of these hostages will be a most unfortunate and heavy price for demolishing these savages once and for all.
